Paris: Jan20 - Sep21

Longitude Latitude Solitude had its first international exhibition at the wonderful artspace of the Australian Embassy France.

The show was opened by the Australian Ambassador to France - Brendan Berne.

The opening celebrations included an auction to support the Australian bushfire victims form the Victoran and NSW bushfires of 2019.

Soon after the opening the Embassy was closed due to COVID19. Reopened in June 2021 for the Australia now celebration of Aussie art and culture in France.

The Embassy's beautiful design was the brainchild of Architect Harry Seidler.

construction started in 1973, was finalised in 1977, and officially opened in 1978.

Madrid: Sep - Nov 22

The Madrid Exhibition was sponsored by the Australian Embassy Spain. It was held in the gallery of the EFTI | Centro Internacional de Fotografía y Cine. A leading visual arts school in Madrid.

The Efti students were treated to a photographic Masterclass by Guest lecturer Andrew Vukosav. The show was opened by Australia's Ambassador to Spain - Sophia McIntyre.

Berlin: Feb - Oct 23

Vukosav's third and current Solo international show was opened at the atrium of the Australian Embassy Germany and was opened by their Ambassador - Philip Green. Guest speakers included Dr Christoph Schneider, Professor of Climate and Geography at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

This particular show had some very unique challenges that were overcome by hanging the works in the Embassy atrium courtyard to make them appear like they were floating in space. There was no lighting in this space so an elegant lighting solution developed in Melbourne was shipped over to illuminate the images.
